End-to-blind Colonoscopy

General and digestive system surgery
Colonoscopy is a medical test used to diagnose and treat colon diseases (large intestine).
It is done by means of the colonoscope, which is a device that consists of a flexible tube that is around a centimeter in diameter and between 122 and 183 cm long. The colonoscope is introduced by the anal orifice and advanced throughout the colon. It allows you to see the inside of the intestine, as it has a video camera at its end and the image is seen through a monitor. In addition, the colonoscope tube has several channels inside it where different instruments can be introduced, and which allow diagnostic tests such as biopsies taking, or even performing treatments such as the removal of intestinal polyps or tumors.
