We understand the pelvic floor as that set of muscles and connective tissues that make up the lower part of the pelvis. The main function of the pelvic floor is to support the pelvic organs, such as the bladder and urethra, the prostate or vagina and the uterus and rectum, and keep them in their correct position. Being formed by aponeurotic muscles, it is common that, over the years, the floor of the pelvis can weaken. In addition, the strategic location of the pelvic floor makes it a delicate area of the body, and its degradation can develop urogynecological, chloprotological and sexual pathologies.
