Neuromodulation

Physioteraphy

Neuromodulation is an invasive therapeutic technique that allows the activity of nerves to be modified through the application of painless, low-voltage electrical stimuli. Considering that pain is transmitted through the nervous system, the electrical stimulation applied by a needle that is inserted in an echo-guided way or not, depending on the depth of the injury, in the points of pain produces a natural biological response specifies that it can alter and reduce the painful perception and experience that is present after an injury or illness.

Some of the Neuromodulation treatments we do at Tredic are:

  • Spinal cord stimulation
  • Stimulation of the dorsal root ganglion
  • Stimulation of the sacral roots
  • Occipital nerve stimulation
  • Motor cortical stimulation
  • Deep brain stimulation
  • Intrathecal infusion using ziconotide and morphine pump
  • Radiofrequency of the medullary roots and peripheral nerve
