Graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the Universidad Computense de Madrid in 1991.

Specialist in Ophthalmology with residency at the Hospital Príncipe de Asturias in Alcalá de Henares (Madrid) between 1993 and 1996.

In 1997 she began working as an assistant physician in Ophthalmology at the Hospital Virgen de la Cinta in Tortosa. In the following years she began to work on the indications of the different refractive techniques (LASIK, arcuate incisions, implantation of phakic intraocular lenses and fac extraction of transparent lens), management of immediate post-surgical complications and monitoring of them.

Since then, she has worked as a specialist in ophthalmology in different centers and hospitals, consolidating her experience in the sector.
