To carry out his specialty, he went to Spain and via MIR (2009) obtained the position 266 of 11,326 applicants, which allowed him to carry out the Ophthalmology specialty at the ophthalmology service of the Vall d’Hebron Hospital in Barcelona.

After completing the Ophthalmology specialty, he continued his training in the field of the medical – surgical retina by completing a Master’s degree at the Ocular Microsurgery Institute (IMO) in Barcelona, where he expanded his knowledge together with prestigious specialists in the subject. Showing great concern for the retina and new technologies, he was the first ophthalmologist to join the Optretina team (2013 – present) as an international consultant for retinal images, becoming an expert in the clinical diagnosis of retinal pathologies, and providing advice on the incorporation of artificial intelligence in the analysis of retinal images.

Development of his healthcare and surgical activity as part of the retina department of the Hospital de Mataró (2014-2015). He joined the service of the Hospital Sant Rafael (2015 – 2018), where he focused his surgical activity to become an expert in cataract surgery.

His private activity was carried out in several medical centers: Clinica del Valls Sabadell (2014 – 2016), Amedics Barcelona (2015 – present), Creu Groga Calella (2015 – present). During this period he learned the importance of residual refractive defects in presbyopia surgery with trifocal lenses (Premium surgeries) and following his passion for ophthalmology he joined the refractive surgery team of the General Hospital of Catalonia, of which he is currently a member.

He is currently the leading ophthalmologist in the medical retina – surgical and refractive surgery of the centers where he works.
