RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGERY

Abdominoplasty is a surgical procedure indicated for patients who want to remove excess skin and fat from the middle and lower abdomen and also strengthen the muscles of the abdominal wall.

Breast augmentation, also known as breast augmentation mammoplasty, is the most popular breast surgery in our country. The breasts are one of the most sensitive and worrying areas of the body for women. Our patients come to the consultation in search of an improvement in the size and shape of their breasts with a definitive result that matches their figure.

Thanks to breast augmentation, we are able to resolve breast asymmetries, both in one and both breasts, and the lack of volume that causes women to lack confidence, well-being and self-esteem.

Blepharoplasty is a type of surgery that removes excess skin from the eyelids. As you age, your eyelids stretch and the muscles that support them weaken. As a result, excess fat can build up above and below your eyelids. This causes sagging eyebrows, drooping upper eyelids, and bags under the eyes.

Aside from the aged appearance, significant sagging of the skin around the eyes can reduce side vision (peripheral vision), especially in the upper and outer parts of your visual field. Blepharoplasty can reduce or eliminate these vision problems. The surgery can also make your eyes look younger and more alert.

It consists of removing all the hanging skin and fat that exists on the inner side of the arms. This procedure is normally performed on people who have lost weight, after an obesity treatment or simply due to the passage of time.

We include within skin coverage any skin defect that cannot be closed directly and requires specific techniques for its solution. These may be due to pathological causes (removal of tumors, radiotherapy, etc.) or accidental.

The complexity of the technique will depend on whether or not noble tissues are exposed (cartilage, bone, tendon, nerves and/or blood vessels). Thus, the complexity of the surgery will range from skin grafting in cases without exposure of noble structures, to the mobilization of pedicled or microsurgical pendants in which there is exposure of these structures and higher quality tissues are required for their coverage.

Thigh lift or thighplasty is a surgical option for patients who have laxity and sagging skin on the inner thighs, especially after excessive weight loss. It is very common after bariatric or obesity surgery, but it is also common with the passing of years and after pregnancies.

The objective is to improve the contour of the thighs and the discomfort of rubbing when walking due to the excessive accumulation of skin and fat on the inner thighs.

It is important that patients who wish to undergo a thigh lift have stabilized their weight in order to obtain satisfactory results.

The operation consists of repositioning the mammary gland, removing excess skin. However, sometimes patients can take advantage of breast lift surgery to also add volume. In this case, the choice of prosthesis must take into account that these are added to the mammary gland itself.

The intervention is performed under general anesthesia without intubation, usually lasts between 1 and 3 hours and can be outpatient (Day Hospital) or depending on the particular circumstances, admission to the clinic is chosen. It is important to know that this type of operation is not covered by Social Security, so they are usually performed in private clinics or hospitals.

Gynecomastia surgery corrects abnormal enlargement of the male breasts. This excess volume in the chest can affect one or both breasts, and can even acquire an appearance similar to that of a woman’s breasts.

With this surgical intervention, the surgeon helps the patient recover the natural size and position of the breast through a process that depends on the origin of the gynecomastia. In each case, the excess of fat, glandular tissue, skin or even the size of the areola will be assessed. For example, if there is excess fat, we are talking about “false gynecomastia” and the procedure to correct it is quick, just a liposuction of the area.

A facelift, also known as a facial lifting, is a surgical procedure designed to remove excess skin on the face and neck, as well as tighten muscles, eliminating sagging and improving the overall appearance of the skin.

This type of intervention is especially suitable for all woman who want an effective and long-lasting treatment to rejuvenate their face and restore the vitality lost over time.

Our specialized team uses endoscopic technology to reduce scars and reduce post-surgical recovery time.

Liposuction is a procedure that aims to eliminate excess localized fat or to remodel the body contour, which in this case we talk about liposculpture.

Currently, this procedure can be combined with lipotransference, which consists of the reimplantation of the same fat in other parts of the body where we want to accumulate volume in a natural way, such as glutis or breasts.

Tubular breasts, also known as tubular breasts, constricted breasts or conical breasts, are a genetic alteration of the tissue that covers the mammary gland. In these cases, the abnormal rigidity of the mammary gland prevents the breast from developing harmoniously during adolescence. This abnormality, which can be seen especially in the lower pole and the lateral poles, gives rise to tubular breasts.

Tubular breast surgery does not only consist of the placement of implants. The tubular breast needs to be reconstructed to correct the malformation in its entirety, thus guaranteeing natural results.

During the tubular breast operation, the surgeon will first correct the shape. He will remodel the breast tissue to distribute it as evenly as possible and to expand the breast. In this way we achieve a more natural appearance, shape and size. On the other hand, it will be necessary to lower the mammary fold to achieve greater curvature and roundness in the lower pole, as well as to reduce the size of the areola. Finally, the breast implants will be placed.

Simple and fast procedure for correction of prominent ears.

It is increasingly common to observe patients who have been operated on by surgeons without official qualifications in plastic, aesthetic and reconstructive surgery, making it more likely that the result will be poor and the patients will be dissatisfied.

Other patients have been operated on with old techniques or prostheses that do not allow them to reach current standards of beauty.

The passage of time and physical activity influence the aging of the breast implants and sometimes the mobilization of them, giving as a result a bad aesthetic result.

Whatever the starting point, at Tredic we put all our tools and experience at your disposal to achieve the result you’ve always wanted.

Breast reconstruction surgery is used to create a new breast after having lost one or part of it, usually due to breast cancer. The aim is for the woman to feel comfortable again with her body and recover an appearance that is the closest possible to the one she had before surgery.

Reconstruction surgery can be performed at the time of mastectomy (what is called immediate reconstruction) or it can be done after the incisions of mastectomy have healed and cancer therapy has been completed (what is called delayed reconstruction).

There are different ways to do this reconstruction. In some cases, a prosthesis or implant is used, similar to those used to increase the chest. In others, tissue from different parts of the body can be used.

Our team is an expert in DIEP technique, which consists of reconstructing the breast from skin and fat from the abdominal area of the patient’s own body, thus becoming a more natural aspect of the breast.

In a final stage of breast reconstruction, a nipple and an isola can be re-created if they were not preserved during mastectomy.

Sometimes sine reconstruction surgery includes surgery on the other sine, or if contralateral, so that the two breasts are similar in size and shape.

Breast reduction surgery, or reduction mammoplasty, is the ideal solution to eliminate excess fat, tissue and skin in the chest, achieving a more balanced silhouette and alleviating discomfort such as back pain, neck or shoulders. In addition, this intervention improves the appearance and facilitates the realization of physical activities with greater comfort and freedom.

The reduction mammoplasty procedure lasts between 2 and 4 hours, depending on the case, and is performed under general anaesthesia. During the postoperative period of breast reduction, a rest period of one or two weeks is recommended. Lightweight activities can resume after a few days, but it is important to wear a special bra during the first month to ensure correct healing and support.

If you are interested in the benefits of breast reduction, call us or book a valuation appointment without obligation.

Scars are a natural part of the wound healing process. However, in some cases, scars can be large, visible, or even painful, which can affect the self-esteem and quality of life of the person who has them.

In these cases, scar surgery may be an option to improve the appearance and functionality of the scar. It is a procedure performed by a plastic or dermatological surgeon whose goal is to improve the shape, color, and texture of scars.

We include under skin coverage any skin defect that cannot be closed directly and requires specific techniques for its solution. These may be due to pathological causes (removal of tumors, radiotherapy, etc.) or accidental.

The complexity of the technique will depend on whether or not noble tissues are exposed (cartilage, bone, tendon, nerves and/or blood vessels). If you have suffered a severe burn, surgery for burn injuries can help reduce scarring and improve mobility. Once the burn is healed, surgeons can use a number of techniques to improve the appearance and health of your skin.

At Tredic, your care team will work with you on a treatment plan tailored to your needs. Depending on the severity and size of your injury, your treatment options may include a skin graft. In this procedure, doctors remove healthy tissue from another part of your body and transplant it to the burned area.

Lymphedema is an accumulation of fluid (lymph) in an extremity due to an interruption or alteration of the lymphatic system.

Upper extremity lymphedema can be congenital, although the most common cause in our environment is due to the consequences of treatment for certain types of cancer (breast cancer, melanoma, sarcomas…), other less common causes are certain infectious processes such as filaria. The accumulation of lymph causes swelling (normally in the arms and hands), chronic inflammation and an increase in the thickness and fibrosis of the tissue that is just under the skin.

Surgical interventions seek to improve the function of the lymphatic system and reduce chronic swelling.

A torn earlobe consists of a sudden or progressive lengthening of the earring hole. The causes may be traumatic, due to the total or partial tearing of the earring, or evolutionary, in patients with skin atrophy with earrings heavy enough to cause this. In the latter, there is also the loss not only of the skin but also of subcutaneous volume, resulting in a lobe that is too thin and even rotates under the weight.

The solution for all torn earlobes must be surgical. Even so, there are patients with mild degrees in which medical solutions can be chosen, such as hyaluronic acid or fat infiltration, to conceal it if the patient rules out surgery. However, these techniques will not repair an elongated hole, they will only conceal it.

Surgery is a quick technique that is performed under local anesthesia and without the need for hospitalization.

Cutaneous lesions can be more than an aesthetic problem, as they can be premalignant or malignant. It is important to diagnose them in time to avoid complications.

The treatment depends on the type of injury. Benign lesions usually only require the excision of the injury and skin closure. On the other hand, for malignant lesions or skin cancer, special skin reconstruction techniques are needed to ensure complete elimination and good healing.

If you detect a suspicious injury, consult our specialists in skin tumours to receive an adequate diagnosis and treatment.
